Found it!It is the Wrongful Interference to Goods Act 1977.Once the car is outside the car park, then the clampers have no legal precedence over it.Now this is referring to the story that I mentioned earlier.It was in Lidl and the Oxford Road retail Park which is private land.So I assume that as your car was on private land, then the same law applies.I would therefore write to the company invovled and inform them of the law, stating that if theyn do not return your car back to you then you will have them prosecuted for theft.Make sure you retain the original letter and send them a photocopy.Send it recorded delivery and get proof of posting.The story can be read in full by going to www.pepipoo com.Registration is free.Vlick on forums, scroll down to "news and press articles", and the story is several posts down.Good luck.
