What rukes?

What ARE the rules on loading?

eg

Commercial vehicles only?

How long do you get?

Do you have to put a sign up?

How long do they have to watch before they decide there's no loading going on?

Re: What rukes?

to answer your enquiry i was recently ticketed by a CEO in the RBKC for unloading a commercial vehicle, its 40 minuites, it is advisable to place a note in the windscreen, however these are often ignored. They normally state 2 / 3 minuites but be careful also if you are locking your vehicle then returning make sure you keep a good look out for the parasites. I am appealing and will NOT pay for something i was legally entitled to carry out.

Re: What rukes?

the rules vary slightly from borough to borough (or at least they do in London)

observation periods depend on the Borough also

every council will have a Traffic Order setting out the Waiting & Loading articles which apply to that borough / council.

In London at present we have widespread confusion - the rules have been changed by some & not by others

Some London Councils have an unlimited before 11AM & 20 Mins after rule which applies to SYL DYL & variously to P&D & Meters & Residents Bays

Some (London) have applied a 40 mins at any time rule

there are numerous key loading adjudication cases within the information section of the website.
