Poor Yellow lines

Where I got my PCN, the single yellow line was practically absent. Has anyone had success using this as defence? This is Wandsworth.

I haven't yet found a definition of a correct "line" to refer to.. Probably here somewhere?

Re: Poor Yellow lines

I received a PCN in Cavendish Sq W1 while illegally parked on a single yellow line (no time plate or meter within 200 yards to check time restrictions and for some strange reason i just walked off after i couldn't find any signage). i won this ticket because the single yellow line was in a bad state of repair with gaps and was not a solid and continuous construction and thus was non complient. Westminster failed to offer any evidence at adjudication and so i won by default but not before they "accidently" posted me a PCN reduced back down from £120 to £60 a couple of days before the case date.
