Parking blunder claim rejected as charges return

SURREY County Council (SCC) has dismissed claims that the £2.8m it has wrongly charged motorists for parking in Guildford has been “unlawfully derived”.
Officers also said the council had no plans to reallocate these funds to charity or attempt to contact drivers who have been given hefty parking fines.
